John Fogarty Jr. Attorney

John Fogarty, Jr. has established one of the most active election law and government affairs practices in Illinois.

John’s practice includes litigating ballot access and election contests and recounts, providing counsel on campaign finance and disclosure issues, and advising on lobbying, media, election administration and party governance issues. John has represented countless local, state and federal candidates and political committees before the State Board of Elections, and before electoral boards state-wide, as well as in state and federal courts throughout Illinois.

John also represents clients in a lobbying capacity in a variety of fields, such as agriculture, banking, energy, healthcare, insurance, gaming, municipal issues, telecommunications and transportation.

He currently serves as General Counsel to the Illinois Republican Party, a post he has maintained for the past several election cycles.
